'The Ritual' saw Chuck Billy's crew take a slower, more melodic approach on a record that is closer in style to traditional metal than the brutal thrash that made them famous. Packed with brooding riffs, impressive harmonies and some incredible lead work by Alex Skolnick, it is a consistent and entertaining album.
