Primarily known for being sampled by abundant hip-hop greats, Lafayette Afro Rock Band's Malik is an inherently fun, revolutionary funk masterpiece in its own right. The album, originally released in 1974, was made by the seven-member band using the African rhythms and styles they gained whilst living and performing in Paris' African-dominated area of Barbesse.
