The top side is from the unknown Modettes, who were a George Kerr-produced group with an exceptional lead singer. The lady lets her emotions run loose, bemoaning the ill-advisedness of her recent relationship.
The Shaladons are another mystery entity who recorded three excellent songs for Larry Banks at GWP productions, before that label was launched. It is a great sweet soul interpretation of Banks’ song ‘Showdown’ that was a highlight of the first “Dave Godin’s Deep Soul Treasures” CD.
