Loma’s third album is a wonderful slice of ambient, yet occasionally disquieting, pop. At points bringing motorik rhythms and dark atmospheres, at others weaving some of the most whimsical art-pop in recent memory. It’s had many listens over the course of the year and with each one new details get noticed. “How It Starts” turns a Glass-esque piano motif into a soothing slice of indie and the build up on “Unbraiding” never fails to give us shivers.
